2 cups water
1 package Simply Organic Vegetarian Brown Gravy Mix
1/2 cup finely diced mushrooms and carrots
1/2 teaspoon Simply Organic Crushed Red Pepper
1 egg, lightly beaten
1. In a medium-sized saucepan over medium-high heat, combine water and gravy mix. Whisk until well blended.
2. Add mushrooms, carrots and crushed red pepper. Turn off heat. From 6 to 7 inches above the pan, slowly pour egg into the pan, constantly swirling broth with a fork.
For a simpler egg drop soup, leave out the mushrooms and carrots.
To increase the heat, add a dash of cayenne.
For a hot and sour soup, add 2 teaspoons lemon juice.
