Southwestern Spice Rub

This sizzling rub will add zip to any Southwestern meal.

Ingredients
2 teaspoons dark brown sugar
2 teaspoons crushed fennel seed
1 1/2 teaspoons paprika
1 1/2 teaspoons garlic powder
1 1/2 teaspoons ground black pepper
1 teaspoon kosher salt
Directions
Mix all ingredients together in a bowl and use mixture as a rub to season meat prior to cooking.
Chef Suggestions
Mixture complements chicken and pork as well as tofu.

Toss with diced potatoes and sliced peppers and sauté.
