The traditional brunch mimosa recipe gets a refreshing makeover with organic ginger, pear and pomegranate.

  1. In a large saucepan, bring water, sugar, ginger, cinnamon stick and pears to a boil. Reduce to a lively simmer for 15 to 20 minutes, until pears are soft. Remove from heat and allow to cool, then remove pears from syrup.*
  2. At the bottom of each glass, place 1 tablespoon pomegranate seeds.
  3. Add 1 ounce pear syrup and 2 ounces pomegranate juice, then top off with champagne or sparkling wine. Garnish with pear slices.
 
RECIPE TIP
  1. *The pears can be used as a topping for ice cream, oatmeal, yogurt, etc., or they can be turned into a pear compote (like applesauce).
