Old-Fashioned Skillet Bread
1 cup milk
1 tablespoon vinegar
1 tablespoon melted butter
1/4 cup Frontier Cane Sugar
1/4 teaspoon Frontier Baking Soda
2 cups flour
1/2 tablespoon Frontier Baking Powder
1/2 teaspoon Frontier Sea Salt
2 tablespoons Simply Organic Chicken Seasoning
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease 7-inch ovenproof skillet.
Pour milk into a large bowl and stir in vinegar. In a small bowl, whip the butter and sugar together. Add butter/sugar to milk/vinegar. In another bowl, mix dry ingredients together. Stir dry ingredients into liquid ingredients, mixing until just moist. Spread into skillet.
Bake 40 to 50 minutes, until golden along the edges.
Cut into wedges and serve with butter.
Also great cut into squares, sliced and toasted.
Once toasted, serve with sliced tomatoes, or use as bread for open-faced chicken sandwiches.
