Ingredients
- For the Spiced Nut Butter:
- 1/3 cup creamy nut butter of choice (cashew, almond or peanut)
- 1 teaspoon coconut oil
- 1/2 teaspoon Simply Organic® Cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon Simply Organic® Ginger
- 1/4 teaspoon Simply Organic® Nutmeg
- 1 pinch Simply Organic® Ground Cloves
- For the Apple Nachos:
- 3 Honeycrisp apples, cored and sliced into wedges
- 2 teaspoons lemon juice
- 1/2 cup mini chocolate chips
- 2 tablespoons shredded coconut (optional)
Directions
- In a medium bowl, add nut butter and coconut oil and heat in microwave for 15 to 30 seconds, until coconut oil is melted, or warm in a double boiler on the stove. Add cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg and cloves, and stir to combine.
- In a large bowl, toss apple slices with lemon juice until well coated. Arrange apples on a large plate or platter. Drizzle with spiced nut butter, then top with chocolate chips and coconut. Enjoy right away.
- Sunflower seed butter can be used in place of the nut butter.
- If using a smaller variety of apples, use 4 to 6 apples.
