  • 1 packet Simply OrganicĀ® Brown Gravy Mix
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 pound flank steak, thinly sliced
  • 3 cups broccoli florets
  • 1 tablespoon minced garlic
  • 2 teaspoons minced fresh ginger (or 1/8 to 1/4 teaspoon Simply OrganicĀ® Ground Ginger)
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce, optional (for gluten free, use soy or coconut aminos)


  1. In a bowl, mix together gravy mix and water, and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet over medium-high heat, add sesame oil. Once heated, add flank steak and cook for about 6 to 8 minutes, until browned on all sides.
  3. Add broccoli and cook for 3 to 4 minutes, then add garlic and ginger. Stir well and cook for 1 minute.
  4. Add broccoli and cook, stirring and flipping, for 3 to 4 minutes. Add garlic and ginger, stir well and cook for 1 minute.
  5. Add gravy mixture and soy sauce. if using. Stir well, then reduce heat to low. Continue cooking for 3 to 4 minutes, until gravy thickens into a sauce to coat the beef and broccoli.
  6. Serve hot with white rice, if desired.
