Boost the nutrition and deep green color of creamy avocados with the addition of spirulina to this fresh guacamole recipe. Earthy cumin, fragrant Mexican oregano and spicy crushed red pepper flakes balance spirulina's strong flavor.


  • 1 package SO Guacamole dip
  • 2 avocados, pitted
  • 1/8 cup lemon juice
  • 1/8 cup lime juice
  • 2 to 3 teaspoons spirulina
  • 1 tomato, seeded and chopped


    Spoon avocado pulp into a blender or food processor. Add lemon juice and lime juice. Add Guacamole Mix and spirulina. Blend until desired texture.

    Spoon mixture into medium mixing bowl. Fold in diced tomatoes. Serve immediately or chill until served.

    Serve with tortilla chips. For a spicier version, substitute Simply Organic Spicy Guacamole Mix.
