Our pumpkin butter recipe melds savory and sweet to create a delicious spread for toast or muffins.

Finely grind the Mulling Spices, using a mortal and pestle, mini food processor or coffee grinder. In a large saucepan, combine all ingredients. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer 5 to 10 minutes, stirring once or twice. Remove from heat. Serve immediately or let cool and place in jar in refrigerator.

Serve on toast, muffins or diced fresh fruit.
Makes a great hostess gift.

If using a coffee grinder to grind the spices, we suggest using a different grinder than you use for your coffee to prevent your coffee from taking on the aroma of the spices, or your spices taking on a coffee aroma.
