Simple Spaghetti Sauce with Tuscan Seasoning

There’s no need to buy spaghetti sauce already made when you can make your own from scratch in just 30 minutes and adjust to your seasoning preferences. Keep some on hand for quick and easy weeknight dinners.

1. Place olive oil in medium sauce pan over medium heat.

2. Once hot, add onions and cook for 3 to 4 minutes until softened.

3. Add the garlic and red pepper flakes and cook an additional minute until fragrant.

4. Add the crushed tomatoes, Herbs of Italy, bay leaf, salt and pepper to the pan, stir until combined, turn the heat to low and let simmer for 20 minutes, stirring occasionally.

5. Adjust seasonings to taste.

Store sauce in air tight plastic container or glass jar for future use or use immediately with your favorite cooked pasta.
