Applesauce Sorbet
This refreshing twist on applesauce will complement any holiday meal and will have friends and family asking for the recipe.
Ingredients
1 jar (1 pound, 9 ounces) applesauce, chilled
1/2 cup sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
1 teaspoon lemon zest
1/2 cup sugar

Directions
In a food processor, combine all ingredients together until the sugar is completely dissolved and lemon zest is thoroughly incorporated.
Transfer mixture to ice cream machine. Generally, 1 pint of sorbet will churn in about 10 minutes. However, churn according to manufacturer’s instructions. Serve sorbet immediately after preparation.
