Tagine Stew

A tagine is a special pot in which this Moroccan dish is cooked. You can use your stockpot.

Ingredients
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 pound pork loin, cut into bite-size pieces
1 cup diced carrots
1 cup chopped onion
1 tablespoon garlic granules
2 cups broth made using Frontier Vegetable Broth Powder
1 tablespoon Frontier Tagine Seasoning
1 1/2 cups garbanzo beans
1/4 cup golden raisins
Directions
Heat olive oil in a deep stockpot. Brown the pork pieces on both sides.

Add the carrots and onions, and sauté until soft. Add garlic granules, vegetable broth, Tagine Seasoning, garbanzo beans and raisins.

Simmer at least 30 minutes.
Chef Suggestions
Replace the raisins with dried apricots or prunes (or use some of each).

Brown the pork pieces, carrots, and onions, and then assemble in a crock pot and let it simmer all day.
