This scrumptious dessert is delightfully sweet and aromatic.
1 package Simply Organic Golden Vanilla Cake Mix
2 large eggs
5 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
1/3 cup water
3/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 tablespoons cream cheese, softened
3/4 cup heavy whipping cream
1 package Simply Organic Fruit Dip
2 cups sliced strawberries
Prepare cake according to package directions. After cake has completely cooled, cut in 1-inch squares.
Beat cream cheese, cream, and Dip Mix until smooth and fluffy.
Layer cake squares with the Dip mixture and strawberries in a large glass bowl or individual parfait glasses.
Substitute whipped topping or pudding for the Fruit Dip mixture.
Substitute any fruit or combination of fruits for strawberries.
Want to make a layered cake instead of a trifle? Rather than cut the cake in squares, simply cut it in half. Place one half of the cake on a serving plate. Top with pudding and strawberries followed by remaining cake half.
